3. Legal Bases for Processing

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process personal information based on one or more of the following: performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, our legitimate interests, and your consent. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time, although withdrawal will not affect processing already carried out lawfully.

4. Customer Data and Our Role

When BytesWave processes Customer Data on behalf of a business customer, that customer generally determines the purposes and means of processing, and BytesWave acts as a service provider or processor. The customer is responsible for providing appropriate notices, obtaining required consents, responding to individual requests, and ensuring that its instructions and use of the Services comply with applicable law.

BytesWave may process Customer Data only as necessary to provide, secure, support, maintain, and improve the Services, comply with law, and perform our agreements. Customers should direct requests concerning their data to the relevant organization first. We will reasonably assist customers with legally required requests where applicable.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information for money. We may share information:

  • with professional advisers, auditors, insurers, and business partners subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations;
  • in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction;
  • when required by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request; or
  • when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, security, and property of BytesWave, our users, customers, or the public.

Service providers may access information only for the purposes described in their agreements with us and must apply appropriate safeguards.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, local storage, logs, and similar technologies to remember preferences, maintain sessions, understand website traffic, measure campaign performance, and improve the Services. You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect functionality.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, comply with legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect our rights. Retention periods vary based on the nature of the information and our relationship with the relevant customer. At the end of the applicable retention period, we may securely delete, anonymize, or aggregate information in accordance with our procedures and applicable law.

8. Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Customers are responsible for protecting their credentials, configuring access controls, and using appropriate security practices.

9. International Data Transfers

BytesWave and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where it was collected. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers and process information in accordance with applicable data protection law.
